the skinny...NFL Pros -The alumnus of the Frankford Chargers have been achieving many feats these past few years. In 2019, Shareef Miller was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 4th round. This is our 3rd player in 4 years that lived in Frankford and played for the Chargers that has played in the NFL. Zaire "Bam" Anderson was the first. He played for Denver Broncos and won a ring in Superbowl 50. Will Fuller was drafted in 1st round of 2016 NFL draft by the Houston Texan, and in 2019 Shareef Miller was drafted by our hometown Philadelphia Eagles. Congratulations young men. We had Tyree Tucker playing basketball professionally overseas and Justin Edwards signed a 2 way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. We will have more Chargers realizing their dreams of playing professional basketball in the future. College Update!!! In Summer 2024 Jah Jah Boyd started his college career at Indiana University. The true freshman look to play significant minutes with IU this season. In 2023 Justin Edwards was ranked #3 in the country in basketball and went on to play at Kentucky. He is currently with the Philadelphia. 76ers on a 2 way contract. In 2020, Mike Statham Jr. red shirted for University of Pitt. In the Fall of 2021, he will be joined by his younger brother Elijah Statham at Pitt. Marquis "Noosey" Tomlin signed to play basketball with Cabrini in 2020. Rahsool Diggins signed to play college basketball at UConn. He was top 5 player in the state of PA. Mikai Gbayor has signed to play football at Nebraska. Top football athlete coming out of the state of NJ. In 2021, we had several Chargers alumnus competing in high school and college sports Khavon Walker (Football) played significant time at wideout for VUL as a freshman. Future College kids We have a couple of Seniors making some noise, look for updates on where they choose to go to college. Beside athletics, we have many alumnus who are doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers, nurses, barbers and entrepreneur to name a few worthy professions.
